A ill and severe social media fad of leaping in entrance of moving vehicles is proving fatal for some teenagers in Indonesia. The perilous pastime, regarded as the ‘challenge malaikat maut’ (the Angel of loss of life challenge) is catching on through the south-east Asian region, with members videoing themselves on TikTok performing the fatal stunts that have experienced dire implications for some of the folks included.
An 18-year-previous was killed quickly in Tangerang, Banten, when he and two good friends leaped in entrance of a weighty lorry in an apparent attempt to halt the juggernaut.
His buddies managed to prevent the motor vehicle and consequently injuring on their own, but he wasn’t so fortunate as he collided with the truck and rolled beneath the lorry and was crushed to demise.
The driver was detained for questioning.Neighborhood police are now on the lookout for the truck driver, who has gone AWOL presumably out of concern of felony prices.
Police say locals have been attempting to stop teenagers from stupidly jeopardizing their life when engaging in the obstacle, but their pleas have primarily fallen on deaf ears.
