Police pursuit motorcycle crash in Fortville

FORTVILLE, Ind. — A law enforcement pursuit of a motorcycle Friday in Fortville, Indiana resulted in a crash and the eventual arrest of the fleeing suspect.

The incident began when Fortville Law enforcement Office officers attempted to pull above a motorcycle for owning no plates. Law enforcement reported the driver of the bike, later discovered as 49-12 months-previous Christopher Brummett of Anderson, Indiana, did not quit and as an alternative fled westbound on County Road 1000 North.

Law enforcement initiated a pursuit of the motorbike, subsequent Brummett to the intersection of 96th Street and Olio Street. There, he turned north on Olio and ongoing driving till arriving with police at Ambria Push and Olio Highway.

At that intersection, officers said there was much too substantially traffic and ended the pursuit to maintain general public basic safety. In 1 minute, Hamilton County Dispatch experienced told officers that Brummett had misplaced regulate and crashed.

Immediately after the crash, which law enforcement said took place just prior to the Geist Marina Start facility, Brummett ran on foot into the woods rest of the roadway. The Fishers Law enforcement Department then helped Fortville officers in searching the region for the suspect.
