23-Year-Old Rider Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Valle Verde

LAS VEGAS, NV (April 11, 2022) – Tuesday morning, Joseph Anthony Ketterer, was killed in a motorcycle crash on 215 Freeway.

Around 6:00 a.m., officers responded to the westbound lanes of the highway near Valle Verde.

Per reports, Ketterer was riding his black sports bike when he rear-ended a blue Jeep heading west, in the middle lane. Shortly after the collision, the jeep collided into the median and went across all the lanes.

Upon impact, 23-year-old Ketterer was thrown from the motorcycle onto the road. Eventually, paramedics took him to Sunrise hospital where he was later pronounced dead due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Jeep did not sustain any injuries and showed no signs of impairment during the investigation.

Part of the roadway was shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened. At this time, the deadly motorcycle crash remains under active investigation.
