fi’zi:k have announced the latest road shoe in their Performance racing series, the Vento Stabilita. Pushing pedals as well as boundaries of innovation, the Vento Stabilita comes fitted with some new exciting features, offering riders the whole package; a shoe that is stiff, lightweight, with unrivaled levels of support.
Leaving no stone unturned, the features of the Vento Stabilita have been the result of rigorous analysis and insight from professional cyclists, as well as industry experts from fizik’s Concepts Programme.
Fizik’s Vento Stabilita Carbon shoes use the latest version of its Dynamic Arch Support (2.0) system; a fully integrated feature engineered around creating the optimal conditions for efficient power transfer. This is achieved through providing increased support to the plantar fascia, enabling the medial arch to stiffen, thus creating a seamless power transfer from the soles to the pedals. The Dynamic Arch Support 2.0 system extends to the outsoles of the shoe through its individually adjustable Boa dial, which when tensioned, wraps around the plantar arch for customizable support.
The shoe features two separate Boa dial closures, enabling riders to fine-tune the fit around both the instep and forefoot; two areas in which the shape and volume can vary widely. With the new Li2 BOA® dials each possessing a smaller control-dial diameter and a more aerodynamic profile, it is clear neither comfort nor performance are compromised.
The upper part of the shoe has been fitted with a resilient polyurethane-laminated material combined over a comfortable mesh; the ultimate combination of materials for racing, providing ventilation and long-lasting support when it’s needed most.
The new outsole boasts a lightweight carbon fibre layup; with an index of 10, this outsole is the stiffest in the fizik range. Keeping you fresh in the toughest conditions, a wide vent inlet and deep internal channelling has been fitted to provide cooling airflow. In order to reduce knee compression and optimize pedalling efficiency, the cleat positioning has been set slightly further back compared to traditional settings, making it the perfect fit for riders who adopt aggressive, aerodynamic positions.

Alpitude Gardena Unica – Limited Edition Carbon-Metal Saddle
We wanted to create something different and from here the Gardena Unica project was born.
Alpitude is happy to announce a limited edition of the full carbon Gardena saddle.
A few units will be produced, precisely only 60 pieces in total. Each handcrafted by Andrea Sega, founder of Alpitude Components and numbered. Gardena unica is produced using T1000G and T800S carbon from the well-known Toray company, in addition to these top-quality fibers, Alpitude has been “played” with the introduction of metal wires into carbon fibre.
These filaments, available in two colors Lava and Oceano, create a vibrant contrast with the black of the carbon fiber. The metal wires immersed in the carbon fiber return wonderful reflections under sunlight. We have chosen these fibers not only for their technical characteristics but also for their aesthetic performance, bright and clearly visible colors but at the same time not too much.
The rails have also been modified compared to the standard version with the introduction of spread tow fibers in line with the bottom shell of the saddle. Elasticity has been increased to further improve driving comfort.
The edges of the saddle have been increased by 60% to be able to have a more rounded profile, perfect for creating much less stress on the fabric of your shorts.
The last gem is the painting job. It is not the classic glossy varnish but hides a nanoceramic film technology, much more resistant than any classic varnish. Alpitude for Gardena Unica wants to use only the best materials currently available on the market.
The geometry has not been changed compared to the standard version, in fact Gardena Unica is only available in the 140 mm version, 245 mm long for a total weight of 76 grams. Indicative delivery date is scheduled for September 2022.
