‘Dangerous stunt’ sent Tesla flying into other cars: video

A driver attempting to pull off a higher-velocity stunt in Los Angeles finished up crashing a Tesla into two parked autos and quite a few trash cans, in accordance to law enforcement and area media experiences.

In a online video, shared by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division on YouTube, the Tesla can be noticed blowing via an intersection and launching into the air. The car or truck can then be read cascading onto its entrance wheels and crashing into the autos and trash cans.

According to the video clip, which seems to have been originally shared on Instagram by a bystander, “everyone is Ok.”

Police are now on the lookout for the driver of the rented 2018 Tesla Product S, who abandoned the automobile and fled the scene, KTLA reported.

Jordan Hook, a resident of the Echo Park community, explained to ABC 7 that he came outdoors that evening to uncover the abandoned Tesla “smashed into the back again” of his vehicle.

“Neighbors immediately started off displaying me films of a number of Teslas that came down the hill following the one that jumped and crashed and they piled out of that crash,” Hook instructed the outlet.

The incident happened soon after midnight on March 19, the LAPD informed ABC 7. The section reported the driver of the rented Tesla will confront hit-and-run fees, and that there’s a $1,000 reward for everyone who offers information about the driver, ABC 7 claimed.

Detective Juan Campos informed KTLA the incident was a “dangerous stunt” that “never must have been completed.”

“I really don’t know what they were pondering about,” Campos advised the outlet. “It could’ve gotten any person killed.”

The Los Angeles Law enforcement Office did not instantly respond to a ask for for comment from McClatchy Information.
